Listening & Support Session - Space for BIPOC Lawyers Experiencing Distress in the Midst of Derek Chauvin Trial and Daunte Wright Killing

Event Description

THIS SESSION IS FOR BIPOC LEGAL PROFESSIONALS.

The MSBA is holding a support session for legal professionals of color adversely affected by the ongoing Derek Chauvin trial and Daunte Wright killing. This support session is intended to be a safe and open space where BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color) members can share, listen, support, and acknowledge those experiencing trauma, pain, fatigue, and emotional distress within their communities. Erikka Ryan, Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is experienced and trained in racial trauma and crisis support and will be facilitating the session.

This session is co-sponsored by the HCBA, RCBA, MWL, Twin Cities Diversity in Practice and Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers.
