The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected the
systems we have in place and our agricultural food systems were amongst those
most severely impacted. You will learn about what challenges arose over
the last year and what strategies were used to address and overcome them from
the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Minnesota Industrial Hemp Regulations under Federal Rule
(1.0 Standard)
The 2021 Growing
Season will be the first year in Minnesota that industrial hemp growers will
be regulated under the 2018 Farm Bill and USDA’s new federal rule. This panel
will cover changes in regulations from the perspective of regulators and
growers, as well as trends in the industry.
