Description:
The presentation will cover a
recent Stark Final Rule protecting arrangements between parties in a referral
relationship who are engaged in activities intended to promote care coordination
or deliver increased value to patients and payers. The CMS Final Rule protects
arrangements between hospitals, other health care providers or practitioners,
and/or payors that qualify as Value-Based Enterprise (VBE) Participants. The
presenters will analyze the VBE model, which is a critical component of these
new Stark Law exceptions.
