The Alternative Dispute
Resolution Section (ADR) holds a business meeting at 12 Noon prior
to the CLE program that begins by 12:15 pm.
Currently, all bar association programming is REMOTE-ONLY
participation. There will be NO in-person attendance until further notice.
Please note that this is presented remotely through live webcast. MSBA is now
using Zoom. Attendees will have the option to view online and/or dial-in*. Thank you.
Webinar CLE Program:
This session is going to focus on experts in mediation. In many
alternative dispute practices mediators are rarely used, but in Mike’s practice
experts are the norm. Experts can be very effective and powerful in helping to
resolve issues if they are properly prepared and you have knowledge in the area
in order to ask appropriate questions and encourage interactive techniques to
educate all of the parties in mediation. Experts can help diffuse tension,
address unrealistic expectations, and clear up key points that may be
misunderstood by the clients, the experts, or attorneys. This session will
provide you with what you need to consider with the application of experts in
mediations.
