Deadline to Register: December 14, 2020
The goal of
this webinar will be to introduce the various ways that U.S. economic sanctions
and export controls are being used as foreign policy tools, and then discuss
common compliance questions that arise as a result of those actions. The United
States has increased its use of export controls and sanctions to oppose
strategic adversaries such as Iran, Russia, Venezuela and, most recently, China.
All companies engaging in international business should be aware of these trends
and maintain risk-based procedures for managing their compliance
responsibilities. The program will outline best practices that companies
can use to cope with new export restrictions. In addition, the webinar will
touch on potential changes in these trends that could take place as a result of
a new presidential administration.
