Program Description:
This entertaining,
practical presentation will discuss the ADA, Fair Housing Act, and Air Carrier
Access Act and describe what kinds of animals are allowed in places of public
accommodation (restaurants, shopping malls, etc.), residential rental housing,
and airplanes. The presenters will discuss verifications that can be
required of persons seeking to bring their animals onto the premises or airplane
and the corresponding rights such persons have. This presentation will also
cover new developments in the law, including the U.S. Department of
Transportation’s recent Notice of Proposed Rule Making regarding service
animals.
