Observe a panel of specialists working in
diverse areas of the law discuss the intricacies of forfeiture law. The panel
will consist of both civil and criminal attorneys on both sides of the process.
The speakers will discuss the basics of how criminal law interacts with civil
law to result in forfeitures of both personal and real property, the rights of
the respective parties involved (i.e., the accused, secured creditors,
government), and best practices. The panel will also discuss how the changing
forfeiture laws have impacted their practice and the parties
involved.
