WEBINAR | SBA Loan Debt - Utilizing the Offer in Compromise Process as an Alternative to Bankruptcy

Event Description

Currently, all bar association programming is REMOTE-ONLY participation. There will be NO in-person attendance until further notice. Thank you.

Deadline to Register (extended): September 15, 2020 (by 4:00 pm)

There will be a brief Banckruptcy Section meeting prior to the CLE.

This presentation will cover how the Offer in Compromise (“OIC”) process can serve as an alternative to filing bankruptcy when resolving outstanding SBA loan debt.  We will discuss the OIC process in general and how to effectively represent debtors and creditors through this process.  In addition, we will highlight what to consider when seeking to liquidate or organize SBA debt through a bankruptcy proceeding, without placing the lender’s SBA guarantee in jeopardy.
