WEBINAR | Legal Business as Usual | Topic: Prepping for Flood of Eviction Actions

Event Description

WEBINAR: REMOTE PARTICIPATION ONLY

The Star Tribune recently reported that 7 in 10 households do not have enough savings to last four months. How should the bar prepare for the flood of eviction actions likely to follow a lift of the state's emergency orders? To tackle this issue, we're joined this week by Lawrence McDonough, former Pro Bono Litigation Counsel at Dorsey and Whitney.

About our guest:

Lawrence McDonough was a legal services housing litigation attorney for 30 years before joining Dorsey. He co-founded Minnesota's Annual Housing Law Institue and is author of the treatise, Residential Eviction Defense in Minnesota.

NOTE: If you can't join on Zoom, find us at YouTube Live. We monitor chat on both channels.

Co-Hosts Bios:

Mike Carlson is Practice Management Advisor for Minnesota State Bar Association. Prior to joining MSBA, Mike practiced in the area of trademark and business with Carlson Bailey and served 10 years as Reference Staff Attorney at Thomson Reuters.

Landon Ascheman is a top-rated criminal defense attorney and owner of Ascheman Law. He focuses primarily on Criminal Defense, representing individuals prosecuted by the State and Federal Government. He spends much of his free time mentoring law students and volunteering in the courts to serve those in need.
