WEBINAR | Legal Business as Usual | Special Edition | Topic: Section 230

Event Description

Special Edition of the Business as Usual Webcast:

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (among others) describe Section 230 of the Communciation Decency Act as "one of the most valuable tools for protecting freedom of expression and innovation on the Internet." Recently, President Trump signed an executive order calling for regulators to review whether it should be abololished. Joe Biden said the law should be revoked, immediately. What's going on?

We'll chat with a leading expert in the field of Internet law, Professor Eric Goldman,  about what the law is, where it came from and whether it serves the current moment and our use of an 'open Internet.'

Eric Goldman is professor at Santa Clara University School of Law. He also co-directs the law school's High Tech Law Institute and co-supervises the law school's Privacy Law Certificate. Goldman is also author at the Technology and Marketing Law Blog.

This conversation will also be rebroadcast as our June 24th edition of BAU.

NOTE: If you can't join on Zoom, find us at YouTube Live. We monitor chat on both channels.
