practitioner. We will cover recent trends in antitrust vertical
integration and the potential effects of the newly proposed vertical merger
guidelines recently published by the FTC and Department of Justice, as well as
the Office of Inspector General and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
sweeping proposals that introduce significant new value-based terminology, safe
harbors, and exceptions to the federal anti-kickback statute and federal
physician self-referral law (Stark).
