This program will address the challenges for attorneys practicing law in immigration and federal court. Discussion points to include:

  • Bond hearings
  • Motion for bond redetermination
  • Motion to reopen vs. motion to reconsider
  • Motion for administrative closure vs. motion to terminate
  • Advice from Retired Judge Kristin Olmanson what to do/not to do before the Court
  • Federal litigation when agency actions violate the Administrative Procedure Act
  • Habeas cases when ICE attempts to execute old removal orders to Laos, etc.
  • Current TPS issues
