Why Culturally Relevant Mediation Processes Matter

Event Description

The ADR Section holds a business meeting at 12 Noon prior to the CLE program that begins by 12:15 pm. Lunch is brown bag, however, light refreshments will be provided.

CLE Program:

Minnesota has many culturally and religiously diverse communities.  Cultural norms, beliefs, expectations, and the role(s) of family and community members may play important roles in resolution of disputes.  This seminar seeks to further inform ADR practitioners and Rule 114 neutrals about specialized community ADR programs and processes with which they may not yet be familiar, the types of issues for which they are typically employed, and when they would be a fitting option.
