The Family Law Section business meeting is
prior to the CLE at 9:30 a.m.
All Family Law Section members are welcome
and encouraged to attend. The meeting agenda and materials will be sent closer
to the meeting date.
Program Description:
Reunification therapy can be a useful tool in high-conflict custody and
parenting time matters. But what exactly is reunification therapy? Join us for
an informative session with seasoned reunification therapy professionals as we
dive into a discussion about the following:
- What does reunification therapy really mean?
- What is the purpose and how does it work?
- In what cases would reunification therapy be called for/beneficial?
- How does the therapist adhere to the court’s order directing reunification
therapy? (Do they report to the court?)
- What makes a practitioner “qualified” to serve as a reunification
therapist?
- Is it common that “reunification therapy” is ordered by the Court, but
reunification therapy isn’t possible or isn’t what would be best for the
participants? If so, what do you do then?
- Is a PC needed to make the most out of the reunification therapy?
- How is the child’s voice reflected in the reunification
process?
