Cannabis Law 101

Event Description

*  WEBCAST ONLY PRESENTATION *

Cannabis is coming – are you ready? There is a revolution underway in the form of hemp products, CBD products, and rapid changes to state laws governing the use of cannabis. Federal regulations and the addition of hemp to the 2018 Farm Bill is affecting how products containing cannabis components are labeled and sold across the country. Our presenters will discuss the overall legal landscape on Hemp, CBD and Cannabis and will discuss how changes in Colorado, California and other states may impact the ability to sell and market this new agricultural, food and over the counter products containing forms of cannabis. Within time constraints of an hour long CLE, we will try to address all of the following topics:

  • Federal and State laws governing marijuana production, use, etc.
  • 2018 Farm Bill Changes which allow the growth of HEMP as an agricultural product
       - What does that mean?
       - What does that allow that was not previously permitted?
  • Federal and State laws governing CBD use and manufacture
  • What is the difference between CBD and THC and what is what, etc.
  • Are the 'pop up' CBD oil stands legal? If not, why not?
  • FDA Regulations?
  • Q&A
