Description:
Discussion of Rule 17.02 of the
Minnesota Rules of Civil Procedure, under which the Court can appoint a Guardian
Ad Litem for an incompetent adult who is a party to a lawsuit. We will
flesh out scenarios under which this rule can be employed in family court, and
the ethical considerations in doing so.
Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 am,
the CLE program will run from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Lunch is included in your
registration.
LUNCH: We will provide a selection of
sandwiches. For dietary restrictions or a vegetarian lunch, choose the
appropriate selection on the registration screen.

The First National Bank Building Conference Center Training Room is on the
street level, just inside the building entrance at the corner of Fifth and
Minnesota Streets in downtown St. Paul. The building address is 332 Minnesota
Street.
