Deadline to Register: May 15,
2019
In the #MeToo era, one of the lessons we are learning is that making
people feel welcome is key to preventing sexual harassment. Today, making all
people feel welcome requires a much broader understanding of gender diversity,
including transgender and nonbinary gender identities. Christy Hall, Senior
Staff Attorney at Gender Justice, will seek to provide a greater understanding
of gender diversity while addressing underlying gender bias that may play out in
the provision of public services and administration of justice. She will provide
strategies for using this new knowledge to overcome biases and thereby create a
welcoming environment that prevents sexual harassment. The presentation will
also focus on effective sexual harassment prevention in public employment,
schools, and accommodations.
A percentage of
proceeds from this event will be donated to the Gender Justice of MN
organization
.
