The
Social
Security & Disability Section Council
along with one of the Minnesota local Social Security Offices is
pleased to present a program to answer questions regarding payment processing and other issues.
This program hopes to provide a respectful dialogue between the local office and
SSD attorneys and representatives through increased understanding of processes.
Social Security trainers will discuss SSA’s
eligibility requirements, monthly benefits and how a claimant’s backpay is
processed. We will talk about the SSA Field Office and the Payment Center(PC)
and how the PC handles attorney fees and other specific workloads.
We will also discuss the specifics of
completing an application and common errors committed by claimants and
representatives as well as tips on what representatives and claimants can do to
prevent delays. They will tell us the most common reasons why payments may be
delayed.
SSA’s online services, online applications and the claimants online
My Social Security Account will also be covered.
Registration starting at 1:45 pm.
CLE Program from 2:00-4:00 pm. Beverages and snacks will be
provided.
Presenters:
Brian Rudolph, Public Affairs and Training Representative, St.
Paul Office
Emily Lenz-Seiser, former Supervisor and Technical
expert, Minneapolis Office. Emily has vast experience in processing RSDI
cases but also concentrates on internet claims from 3rd
party representatives.
