• Steps in joining the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees
• Duties and requirements
• Who is the trustee in my client’s case and how were they assigned
• What is case administration
• How does the trustee sell property of the estate
• How does the trustee abandon property of the estate
• Does the debtor have a duty to cooperate with the trustee
• How can I develop a good relationship with the trustee
• Review of a trustee’s caseload
• The time a trustee put into a case to meet their duties
• Compensation of trustee’s in non-asset cases and in asset cases
 
• How long has it been since the trustees received an increase in pay
• Audits of a trustee’s case load
• The things  trustees want you to know once they are appointed to a case (for both debtor and creditor’s counsel)

Presenters:

Patti Sullivan and Nauni Manty were appointed to the Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees in 1998.  Patti serves in the St. Paul filing division while Nauni serves the Minneapolis division.
