The Supreme Court's 2018 opinion in Ohio v. American
Express
is perhaps its most significant antitrust decision of the
decade.
This CLE
will explore the Court's analysis of the relevant market
and its impact on future cases. The program will summarize
the landscape before Amex, discuss the competing principles of market definition behind the
majority and dissenting opinions, and address the case's implications for antitrust
markets outside the credit card industry.
