Join us for a
fun & rewarding community service opportunity followed by a networking happy
hour!
The Food, Drug &
Device Law Section and the New Lawyers Section have reserved a two-hour
packing shift at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Coon Rapids, MN.
During the shift, our group will work together to hand-pack rice, soy, dried
vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags
which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped out to malnourished
children around the world. For additional details, check out this FMSC
video.
After our shift,
the Food, Drug & Device Section will sponsor a networking happy hour at
a nearby venue (TBD). Volunteers and any others who were unable to
volunteer are invited to join. This will be an opportunity for our section
members to network and visit with seasoned practitioners and newer lawyers over
drinks and appetizers. We welcome law students to attend.
Registrations
are requested by Monday, November 26 for planning purposes. Once you are
registered and confirmed to attend, additional details will be sent to you via
email. You will meet the group at FMSC Coon Rapids for the packing
shift.
Once more, you
are encouraged to join us for the happy hour OR volunteer shift if you are
unable to join us for the whole event.
We hope to see
you there!
