"Inspection” is the examination and testing of construction during contract
performance or before acceptance to determine compliance with contract
requirements. This presentation will cover an inspector’s authority; the
owner’s right to strict compliance with the specifications; the contractor’s
right to extra compensation for improper inspections; testing and sampling;
acceptance criteria; and an inspector’s potential liability to the contractor
and other third parties.
