Minnesota Small Cell Right of Way Legislation: Paving the Way Toward 5G

Event Description

Deadline to Register: December 11th

The Minnesota Legislature enacted substantial changes to Minnesota’s telecommunications right-of-way statute last session to streamline right-of-way access for small cell wireless providers deploying small and micro cell technology.  The wireless industry promises this technology, when deployed, will enable 5G wireless services, the next generation of wireless voice and broadband service.  Local governments and cable service providers had concerns about the legislation.  At this panel you will hear from representatives of the major stakeholders that participated in negotiating and lobbying the legislation, and receive an update on 5G deployment activity in Minnesota.

Lunch will be provided.
