What Law Firms Need to Know about Cybersecurity and Compliance for Their Clients

Event Description

Sponsor:  A special thanks to All Covered  for sponsoring this CLE

Deadline to Register Online: February 12, 2017

Headlines continue to include reports of security breaches and ransomware attacks across all industries.  The Panama Papers, the leak of 11.5 million files from the world’s fourth biggest offshore law firm, proved that the legal industry is not impervious to these threats.  Clients are continuing to pressure firms to improve network and data security, while firms struggle with how to balance cyber-security against budget constraints.

This presentation will uncover myths and misnomers about cybersecurity and compliance, and focus on how the legal industry is and should be addressing security.  Learn what requests you should anticipate from your clients, industry best practices, and what you can do to prepare for the inevitable attack on your information technology systems.  Keep your firm out of the headlines.

The Computer and Technology Section Council will meet at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the CLE at noon.

Presenter:

Marco Maggio is the U.S. Director of All Covered’s Legal Practice and is responsible for the strategy, marketing, and education of the national Legal Practice.
