Going Off the Record and Other Media Tips for You and Your Clients

Event Description

Deadline to Register: November 28, 2016

This one-hour CLE will cover two broad topics:  How the attorney can work with reporters to everyone’s mutual satisfaction, and how the attorney can work effectively with clients to help them through any kind of event that results in adverse publicity.  As to the first, I will discuss what “off the record” and “background” mean, how to develop a good working relationship with a reporter, what to expect from news coverage and constructive ways to react to negative news coverage.  As to the second, I will discuss the service that I think lawyers can do their clients by planning and then communicating when an event occurs.

Lunch and registration will begin at 12:00 p.m.
The program will begin at 12:15 p.m.
