Deadline to Register: October 17,
2016
Employers who take diligent steps to ensure compliance
with federal and state employment laws and regulations may find themselves
tripped up by local employment ordinances that continue to proliferate across
the country. These local laws address paid sick and safety leave, prohibit
or regulate questions regarding criminal or conviction history on job
applications, establish local minimum wages, and regulate other topics as
well. This program will address the impact of these local laws, including
the recently enacted Minneapolis and St. Paul paid sick and safe time
ordinances, and explore best practices for employers to ensure compliance with a
patchwork of local laws across the country.
Registration and
lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. Dessert and beverages will be provided;
please bring your own lunch.
