The Destructive Symbiosis between Child Protection, Juvenile Corrections, and Mental Health

Event Description

Deadline to Register Online: September 14, 2016

Recent reports of removal of children and alleged abuses in juvenile detention centers have highlighted the placement of mentally ill and older foster children in corrections facilities. Join us for a frank discussion of the interplay between child protection, juvenile corrections, and mental health.  We will explore strategies to untangle the three, or alternatively, to make their symbiosis beneficial to the children caught up in its grasp.
