Training Provided to Summer Associates

HealthPartners participated in the HCBA 1L Diversity Clerkship program in 2022 and employed a summer intern for 12 weeks this summer.  The summer intern conducted legal research, drafted memos and emails summarizing her research, assisted in preparing legal presentations for attorneys to use with clients, and participated with Law Department attorneys in meetings with clients, among other things.

Summer Associate/Clerkship Description

The summer law intern would work with attorneys in the HealthPartners Law Department on many different matters involving, among other things, health care delivery, dispute resolution, employment health insurance, professional licensing, transactions, corporate governance, and tax exemption. Activities would include research, writing, and attendance at meetings with attorneys and clients.

Salary and Benefits

The position is a non-union summer intern with an hourly rate to be determined (estimated range of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour)
The summer intern would be an at-will employee, and the employment would be subject to the policies, procedures and plans of HealthPartners.
