2018 HCBA Annual Meeting to Celebrate Milestones, Excellence in the Legal Profession

MINNEAPOLIS--The Hennepin County Bar Association will welcome its 100th president, Adine Momoh, at its Annual Meeting on May 31 at the McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota campus. Momoh will receive the ceremonial leadership gavel from current HCBA president, Thaddeus R. Lightfoot. Momoh, a partner at Stinson Leonard Street, is the youngest attorney and the first African American woman to serve in this position. Her term begins July 1, 2018, and Momoh will lead the association during its centennial year in 2019.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey will deliver the keynote address for the evening. The Larry McDonough Trio will play during the networking reception at 5 p.m.

Nine attorney members will also be recognized with the inaugural HCBA Excellence Awards. The HCBA selected eight members for their work from among six different categories, and one member for career contributions to the profession.
