This is an
in-person event. Remote participation is available for both the CLE and Raeder
Larson award presentation.
The
MSBA is adhering to CDC guidelines
. Currently in Hennepin County the transmission rate is low. Masks
are welcomed but not required for this indoor
event.
Ever wanted to know if and when your
clients can sue for inaccurate credit reports or aggressive debt collection
practices? Three experienced consumer rights attorneys will provide a primer on
federal and state consumer protection laws regarding credit reporting and debt
collection, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act. In addition to the basics of what creditors can and cannot do,
they will provide practical advice on how to spot actionable claims against
creditors.

Past Pro Bono Volunteers: Free
Future Pro Bono Volunteers: Agreement to provide future volunteer
services on a piecework basis: e.g. a commitment to handle a Chapter 7 filing
pro bono; a commitment to staff the Bankruptcy Advice Clinic for two sessions;
or a commitment to be on the panel for letter-writing, and to serve as needed,
for one year.
