Event Description

Currently, all bar association programming is REMOTE-ONLY participation. There will be NO in-person attendance until further notice. Thank you.

Pre-registration is closed. If you are interested in attending, please email Abby Ward at award@mnbars.org to register.

• How does a 401(k) work?
• What are pre-tax versus Roth contributions?
• What is a target-date fund?
• What are the various terms I should be familiar with for my healthcare plan?
• What is a Health Savings Account and how does it work?
• How does long term disability taxation work?

Learn what all those benefit documents you received on your first day of work really mean. At this CLE we will discuss common employee benefits that you could be receiving from your employer. In addition we will provide a high-level overview of the various ways in which you may encounter employee benefits in your legal practice. As members of the New Lawyers Section and newer attorneys ourselves, we hope you leave this session with a better understanding (and appreciation for) the complex world of employee benefits.
