18th and 19th District Bar Associations Announce Results of Poll on Contested 10th Judicial District Court Race

September 4, 2024 — A poll of all 815 attorney members of the 18th and 19th District Bar Associations was held regarding the contested district court race in the 10th Judicial District. 

The poll was conducted between August 19 and September 3, 2024. Approximately 19.4% of the membership voted. The Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) conducted the poll on behalf of the 18th District Bar Association and the 19th District Bar Association, which together cover Wright, Sherburne, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, Chisago and Washington counties. 

The purpose of the poll is to collect and make information available to the general electorate. This information, combined with voter guides, candidate questionnaires, news articles, and other sources, relates to contested judicial elections and can be considered by the public when deciding whom to vote for in the general election. The online poll was voluntary and conducted in a neutral and unbiased manner. The results of the poll do not constitute an endorsement of any candidate by the MSBA, the 18th District Bar Association or the 19th District Bar Association.

  • Helen Brosnahan, District Court Judge since February, 2022 
    83.54% (132 votes); 
  • Nathan Hansen 
    16.46% (26 votes) of the 158 total votes.
