The Courthouse is Not My Employer, But it is My Place of Work

Breastfeeding provides numerous benefits to baby, mother, and even to the environment and the economy. Minnesota looks from our statutes to be a breastfeeding-friendly state, but there is room for improvement. Hurdles still exist for mothers who want to breastfeed and the laws do not remove all those hurdles. Learn the benefits of breastfeeding that go beyond baby, how Minnesota law compares to the nation in promoting and protecting breastfeeding and lactation, and the legal importance of the distinction between employers and location of work for lactating mothers.
