Public Health and the Constitution

Covid-19 is a major public health challenge, but addressing it raises many legal issues. What powers does the national government, including the president, have to address public health issues, including “opening or closing the economy,” and what powers do states and governors have? This CLE examines the constitutional issues regarding what level of government and which officials have what authority to address public health issues.

This CLE is approved for credit through June 5, 2022.
