Presenter, David Ness, practices in the areas of
estate planning, probate & trust administration, estate and gift tax
controversy, tax-exempt organizations, and corporate law. He works with
individuals and organizations in all aspects of estate planning, charitable
planned giving, and estate administration. In addition to representing
individuals, charitable organizations, and corporate clients, David represents
the countries of Norway and Sweden in estate and trust administration cases
arising in the Midwest. He also has extensive experience representing tax-exempt
organizations, including his role as outside General Counsel to Sons of Norway
and Degree of Honor Protective Association, both fraternal insurance
organizations headquartered in the Twin Cities.
David was named a "Super Lawyers Rising Star" by Minnesota
Law and Politics and featured in "Who’s Who in Estate Planning and Probate Law"
by Minnesota Law and Politics. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as estate
planning, taxation, and business succession. He is also a contributor to radio
and television programs such as "The Law Show" on WCCO 830, News Talk AM 1130,
the Cities 97 Morning Show and KARE 11 Sunrise.
Presenter, Michael Trittipo, Attorney Editor, MSBA.
Michael is an attorney editor with the MSBA. He earned his J.D. cum laude in
1981, and practiced law for several years. He currently maintains the MSBA's
mndocs templates using the HotDocs platform.
Research and Drafting Support, Gloria Hand, is a
law student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law where she is finishing up her
degree and graduating in the Fall 2018 semester. Her favorite classes included
Trusts & Estates, Contracts, and Property Law. As part of her academic
career at Mitchell Hamline, she will receive their Law and Business
Certificate.
Most recently, she worked as a legal intern and assistant
at Story Law Firm, PLLC in Fayetteville, Arkansas where she assisted with estate
and business planning, real estate transactions, and business law issues.
Additionally, she worked with the senior attorney on developing a complex estate
plan for clients with family businesses blending trusts and limited liability
companies. Gloria and her husband Matthew recently relocated to Wausau,
Wisconsin where Matthew works as an attorney.
