Separation of Powers and Administrative Law

Lunch will be included. Lunch, registration and networking begins at 11:45 am. The CLE program begins at 12:00 pm and goes until 1:00 pm.

Program:

Professor Konar-Steenberg will discuss recent cases highlighting separation of powers issues in administrative law including the constitutional status of ALJs, notable uses of the APA as a check on executive power, and the future of judicial deference to agencies.

This CLE presentation is a part of the Capitol CLE Series for Local and State Government and Judicial Attorneys. Designed for Minnesota state agency and judicial attorneys, the Capitol CLE series features programs on a variety of topics, including data practices, administrative law issues, ethics and elimination of bias. Transportation: If you need transportation to the CLE, consider taking the light rail Green Line to the Robert Street Station, which is one block from the Judicial Center. Parking can be tight in the Capitol area, especially during the Legislative Session.
