Featured presenters, Dr. Dan Libby and Mike Millios, will
talk about vicarious trauma and burnout as it relates to working with and
advocating for Servicemembers and Veterans. Dr. Libby, a clinical psychologist,
will address the symptoms of secondary trauma and how advocates can develop
healthy resiliency and recovery methods. Discussion will be helpful to anyone in
attendance who serves as an advocate or works with trauma related issues.
Please stay for a yoga class following the
presentation led by Dr. Libby. The Mindful Resilience/Mindful Yoga program
consists of five tools: Breath, Meditation, Mindful Movement, Guided Rest, and
Gratitude. These practices are adapted and delivered to maximize their ability
to undo the nervous system dysfunctions that underlie symptoms of stress-related
conditions. Dr. Libby shares practical life tools that will help anyone in
attendance. No previous yoga experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing and
bring a mat, if possible. Extra mats will be on hand if you do not have
