What Every Lender’s Lawyer Needs to Know About Environmental Law

Event Description

Deadline to register:  Friday, January 29, 2016

Ever since the terrifying days following the Fleet Factors case (more on that later!), lenders have worried liability under environmental law – both for their borrowers and themselves.  This session will tell you everything you (as a lender’s lawyer) ever needed to know about environmental law.  Can a lender be held liable for contamination on a borrower’s property?  What if the lender needs to foreclose?  What should I require with respect to environmental diligence and environmental reports?  These questions and more will be answered.

Lunch will begin at Noon, followed by the CLE program from 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.  Special meal requests need to be received no later than Friday, January 29.
