Please join us for the Fifth Annual State of the Child Summit.
This year’s Summit will explore how children get caught in the middle
of and may fall victim to various legal proceedings. Anne Tyler
Gueinzius, Managing Attorney for
Children’s Law Center, will discuss issues of children in long term foster care
and wards of the state. Jason Schellack
, Executive Director, Autism Advocacy and Law Center will present the
issues specific to children with disabilities in divorce and custody situations.
Margaret J. Westin, General
Counsel for Osseo Area Schools, will present issues specific to the legal
obligations/duties and limits of the school’s role when children are in
out-of-home placement or when their parents are in the middle of custody
disputes. Retired
Judge Jane Ranum
willl speak about the" View from the Bench".
Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The program will begin at
8:30 a.m.
