Deadline to Register: June 11, 2015
Commissioner Cynthia Bauerly will discuss 2015 Minnesota
tax legislation and provide an update on Department of Revenue activities,
audits, enforcement actions, initiatives, personnel changes, and other items of
"Hot News" and interest to the tax community. Commissioner Myron Frans
will discuss taxes and budgeting. Brenda Jones will discuss recent
developments in collections. Tamar Gronvall will discuss Minnesota tax
litigation. John Schmittdiel will discuss IRS counsel issues. The
Honorable Bradford Delapena will provide the Minnesota Tax Court update, and The
Honorable Mark V. Holmes will provide the U.S. Tax Court update.
The seminar is from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a question and
answer session, and concludes with a one-hour cocktail party (host bar and
complimentary hors d'oeuvres).
Notice of Annual
Meeting: The Tax Section will also hold its Annual Meeting at 2:00 p.m. to elect officers and council members for the 2015-2016 bar year, and to conduct other business as may come before the meeting. The Annual meeting will be in the Rice Suite.
