Legal Tools for Social Entrepreneurs

Event Description

Kim Lowe will explain the various legal entity forms and certification options available to social entrepreneurs including B Labs Certification (or B Corps) and chartered benefit corporations that can be formed using the Minnesota Public Benefit Corporation Act. In addition, the group will discuss the use of benefit corporation by nonprofit organizations to pursue sustainable operations.

Bring your own lunch.  Water and soft drinks will be provided.
