Felonies and Firearm Rights: What Every Minnesota Criminal Law Attorney Should Know

Event Description

Deadline to Register: January 27, 2015

Felony convictions result in state and federal firearm prohibitions that impose serious criminal consequences.  Minnesota Law, in particular, imposes a presumptive lifetime firearms prohibition for individuals convicted of a felony-level “crime of violence”.  It is important that criminal law attorneys are aware of these laws when advising clients who either have felony convictions or are facing felony charges.

This CLE will examine how federal and Minnesota firearm laws affect individuals with felony convictions.  This CLE will also provide information on how individuals convicted of a felony-level “crime of violence” can petition to restore their firearm rights under Minnesota Law.

Please join us for happy hour after the CLE.
