Abuse No Contact Orders, Orders for Protection, and Harassment Restraining
Orders often involve both family and criminal law. This CLE will focus on the procedure of
how to obtain criminal and civil no contact orders as well as their restriction
when parties desire to have contact in limited circumstances and their dismissal
by the family or criminal court.
The overlap of criminal and civil law and procedure will be discussed, as
well as in what circumstances it is appropriate to obtain a civil no contact
order when a criminal no contact order is in place.
Lunch will be
provided.
