One topic
of great interest these days is the influx of children coming across our
southern border from Central America. Many of these children end up with family
members who reside in the United States. In Minnesota there are various ways
state court proceedings can assist these children to maintain stability and
remain in the United States. Some state court proceedings can even assist the
children in obtaining lawful status. We will discuss the current trends in
immigration and out of the box ways to assist these children through our state
court system.
