attorneys to Minnesota’s standing chapter 13 trustee, present a roundtable
discussion focusing on what the chapter 13 office would like to see from
practitioners in the drafting of bankruptcy schedules, preparation of chapter 13
plans, and discussing other topics of interest in chapter 13 practice.
Subcommittee Chair Craig Andresen, and outgoing Chair Ronald Lundquist, will
moderate. The presentation will last for 50 minutes minimum. Besides
the above topics, the presenters will discuss chapter 13 plans providing for
direct payment of student loans (In re Copeland and In re Jordahl), the recent
Fifth Circuit decision authorizing payout of debtor funds after conversion to
chapter 7, treatment of foster care payments as disposable income, and the
Eighth Circuit decision finally approving lien stripping in chapter
13.
The
presentation will start at 6:00 p.m. sharp at Conference
Room III (the large meeting room) located in the lower level of 2051
Killebrew Drive, Bloomington MN 55425.
Attendance
at the meeting is encouraged for both debtor and creditor oriented attorneys, as
well as trustee and court staff.
