On Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, Governor Mark Dayton signed into law
the new Women’s Economic Security Act (WESA, HF 2536, Ch. 239). The Act takes
aim at the gender gap by changing family leave, reasonable accommodation,
unemployment, wage, and many other Minnesota Laws. Learn about the broad,
sweeping reforms from author of the legislation, Senator Sandra L. Pappas, and
experienced labor and employment attorney, Daniel G. Prokott.
Registration will begin at 11:30am. The
program will begin at 12:00pm.
This is a brown bag session. Feel free to bring your own lunch. Dessert and beverages will
be provided.
