Event Description
Deadline to Register: 05/07/19
Modern businesses demand focused, cost-effective
legal advice and services. In-house law departments and external law firms and
other legal service providers are called on to innovate to
meet those needs. Participants along the legal value chain (business
clients, in-house counsel, external counsel, other service providers) are
rethinking how to procure, provide, and consume legal services. New, potentially disruptive,
technologies and approaches to the provision of legal services
present opportunities to serve client needs more effectively and efficiently, whether implementing
better processes or calling on a variety of service providers to meet different legal needs of
a company.
This panel will
explore innovative approaches to meeting the needs of your corporate clients, whether you
are an in-house attorney working with your business colleagues or an outside attorney
working with a business client. Our panelists will discuss new ways to think
about the relationship between a law firm (or other legal service provider)
and an in-house law department. The discussion will touch on ideas ranging from how to engage
in a more thoughtful procurement process when seeking legal
services, and how to respond to that process as a service
provider; and how to rethink how you interact with external/in-house
counsel.
Lunch will be
provided.
