This course investigates how the Bankruptcy Code
interacts with laws governing consumer rights, including laws regulating credit
reporting, debt collection, mortgage
servicing, and electronic payments. These
laws govern an individual's interactions with their creditors before, during, and
even well after their bankruptcy, and can have important effects on their bankruptcy-- or
the other way around.
