Breakfast and the annual meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed
by the CLE program from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
Special meal requests need to be
received no later than Thursday, May 24.
This year’s annual meeting features a
presentation by Associate Justice Margaret Chutich on the topic of
administrative law practice in the appellate courts. In addition to Justice
Chutich’s presentation, the CLE will include a review of this year’s significant
administrative law cases, and a review of administrative law issues addressed in
this year’s legislative session. There will also be a recap of the
Section’s activities over the past year, and election of the Section’s officers
for the next year.
Justice Chutich joined the Minnesota Court
of Appeals in December 2011 by appointment of Gov. Mark Dayton, elected in 2014,
and appointed to the Minnesota Supreme Court in January 2016 by appointment of
Gov. Mark Dayton. Her distinguished legal career before joining the courts
included private practice, the United States District Attorney’s Office, and the
Minnesota Attorney General’s Office, where she held the positions of Assistant
Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General. Justice Chutich was also
Assistant Dean at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public
Affairs.

breakfast to reconnect with colleagues and meet others who are interested in
Administrative Law.
