Whether practicing in a corporate legal department, a large law firm, or as even a solo practitioner, attorneys need to be prepared for handling electronic discovery in litigation. In this discussion, we will discuss the basic principles and best practices every attorney should understand about eDiscovery to enable them to manage litigation matters more effectively.

Ben Legatt, Vice President of Consulting Services at Shepherd Data Services, gained extensive hands-on litigation and trial experience starting in 2001. He is a certified TrialDirector® and Relativity® instructor with expertise in AccessData and LexisNexis products: AD Summation®, Concordance®, CaseMap®, and TimeMap®. Ben focuses on troubleshooting day-¬to-day client technology issues, and utilizes his litigation experience to assist clients in discovery planning and preparation. Ben leads Shepherd Data Services’ education and training programs, including the popular "Shepherd Speaks" series as well as customized sessions to meet client needs.
